Jim Graham
I don't know about trust but Frank Field and Tony Benn probably deserve a mention. They belong to a different generation alas. Tony Blair, Harridan Harm-man and the Milliband Twins are just odious leeches on the backside of Britain in comparison.
brianthedog
Thatcher. Love her or (as most of SF probably will) loathe her, she was certainly dependable.
poppet2
You could put thatcher in there as you could trust her to do what she said she would do. Again, might not agree with her politics but she did stand up for this country when required The trouble is when you mention 'Thatcher', the room divides like the Red Sea. frededwards
Two men called Harold. MacMillan and Wilson. And the best one of all Aneran Bevan, the man who invented the NHS. You are joking about Wilson, aren't you? He is probably the most corrupt man ever to inhabit No:10, and that's saying something given the number of crooks and shysters who've lived there, including the current incumbent (and his next door neighbour). epiphany
In recent times I'd have to say David Davis. But let's be honest, there'll be MPs we've never even heard of that may deserve our wholehearted trust, most likely sitting on the back benches.
