taxman
It's the Scottish wanting to go their own way..not the English trying to dich them.. Indeed, it looks like the one issue that even Cameron and Miliband can agree on. I'm interested as to why the SNP is keen for the vote to be given to 16-17 year olds. Maybe they see them as more likely to want a fresh start and less likely to have any affinity with The Union.
Conrod
This is one major problem with this debate. You've got English right-wingers who want to spite ideologically unpure Scotland and ensure a permanent Tory majority as a result. And on the other hand you've got Scots who want to break away from English Tories to ensure a permanent left wing / anto Conservative government north of the border. Both camps pursuing essentially spiteful and partisan goals, ignoring the common good in the process. I really don't see what's spiteful. The Scottish are mostly voters either for the left, or for anything with a Scottish flag on it, whatever its manifesto says (were they ever to read it). The English are mostly right of centre and Westminster's English business is affected by Scottish MPs who hold seats for the Scottish left, while English MPs are unable to affect Scottish policy. It just seems logical to allow each to go their own way.
JackLakeland
It has to be up to the Scottish. I bet they're pretty sick of voting for a different government that's imposed on them. Alex Salmon seems to talk a lot of sense in general. I saw him on QT once and thought he was the best on the panel.
