Allen Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 They want recepits and photos of stolen items from me too but the laptop was stolen with most of my pics on it and i too dont keep empty boxes or receipts.Simply tell them (in writing) it is unreasonable to expect receipts for items bought years ago. I only keep receipts for one or two years, depending on the manufacturers gaurantee. If they ask for quotes for replacement value (as my insurers did) simply Google for the nearest item to the one stolen. Note...they will always use the smaller valuation you supply.
