willman
Whilst it is unfair for this to be done, it is not as bad as buy to let. Its actually worse, a deprivation of social housing by the criminally minded, who are most likely already claiming benefits. Unlike the buy to let which is inevitably operated by employed capitalist profiteers.
Jeffrey Shaw
Unfair or not, why criminalise it? Simply sue for breach of contract.
Jackyop50
Heard this on the radio this morning, not sure how it will work but there are council houses rented by some people who sub-let their houses and then all live together in another http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8756202/Council-tenants-cost-taxpayer-2bn-a-year-by-illegally-subletting-homes.html Build more homes! HeadingNorth
Unfair or not, why criminalise it? Simply sue for breach of contract. That's usually pointless, because the people committing the breach won't have any money - or, at least, won't have any traceable money.
