Free schools that teach 'intelligent design' as science will lose funding

Recommended Posts

Before the fat lady starts singing, let us not forget the lengths that the indoctrinators will go to ...

The Everyday Champions Church is now re-jigging its proposal for a creationist school under a new name, Exemplar - Newark's Business Academy.

It's the same url as previous, the only difference beyond the name seems to be the dropping of references to creationism.

How can we trust that they will not simply include creationism when nobody's looking?

Surely it should be taught under religious education as part of making students aware of the many different faiths about.

Religious education shouldn't be taught or need teaching, A God would be more that capable of educating everyone at the same time without diverting its attention from the more pressing matters it may be dealing with.

A God that leaves everyone in ignorance obviously doesn’t care or want our worship.

It is in normal CofE or RC schools. No part of religion is taught as fact and all major religions are studied and discussed to give kids a wider understanding of other faiths and to try and get rid of ignorance of many people when it comes to the faiths of others.

The problem is with these different kind of faith schools that are appearing and giving the bona fide ones a bad name.

My primary school wasn't a faith school but the headmaster was a devoted Christian. He preached a lot in assembly but never explained that the stuff he said might not be true. In fact when I asked questions about it he liked to change the subject or say something irrelevant as if it answered my questions.

If everything was designed and we had a requirement to know and pray to the designer then it wouldn’t need teaching, the designer would just let everyone know that they designed it.

Whereas evolution does need teaching because there would be no supper entity to inform everyone how we came to be.

Is your supper entity a piece of cheese served with crackers?

A smart God allows people to choose between alternative religions. He is a democrat and likes choice. You seem to confuse education with indoctrination.
