RootsBooster
Generic code readers don't always give the full information and can't do detailed actuator tests on the parts, and may not be able to read any stored faults from the logs like the genuine reader can. Alchresearch is right, the cheap readers off Ebay are OBD readers, which is a very basic and generic system. The codes don't always mean the same thing on all vehicles and they don't always show all fault codes. I've seen it before where some DIY mechanic has "scanned" an ECU with one of these and told the customer it has no fault codes stored, only to find out there WERE fault codes present, just not showing up on OBD. alchresearch
Then why didn't you say that instead of saying "it's your cold start that's the problem" I agree, the reply was very vague and just seemed to be a veiled advert post.
