Leah-Lacie
Learn more... "Wikipedians spend thousands of hours every week reviewing and removing infringing content" I know they obviously mean collectively, but it still sounds stupid
alternageek
Only in the USA Ramps. They are protesting the proposed SOPA bill and quite rightly too. On the surface, "Stop Internet Piracy Act' might sound like a good thing to some, but it is extremely broad and will result in innocent sites being closed down for no good reason. I'd like to see Google come out in sympathy too, but worldwide. That would really show these extreme conservative US senators. Especially when they ask their secretary to draft a form letter... "Steal a template. Google it". These are the people that really hate our freedom. SOPA has been dropped, we need to worry about the senate backed PIPA bill. Though, I think, Obama has stated he wont sign any of the bills presented to him (I could be confusing all with only SOPA). Its still not good, either way. I called my local congressman back home asking him NOT to back it. Now I'll need to call my former State Senators and voice my disapproval.
