No way, as mentioned above people would stream in over the weekend and demand alcohol causing much more trouble than it's worth, totally the wrong environment for alcohol free if you ask me

I'd echo the above. Placing an alcohol free pub in the middle of Sheffield's drinking centre competing with countless other restaurants would be financial suicide,

Sorry, I think it would be in totally the wrong place. London Road, as others have said, would have a chance of being far more successful. In West Street there would be a stream of people coming in off the street wanting a meal and being baffled as to why they couldn't have a drink, too.

I've eaten at dry restaurants before and really don't mind if the food's outstanding. It's also ideal when there's pregnant or non-drinking members of the party - but then, sober people are unlikely to want to go out on West Street, especially on a weekend. The top end towards the University would perhaps be a bit better, but nobody would really want to be at the Walkabout end completely sober.
