Cheapest way to travel to ireland/dublin

I'm guessing Sheffield, but I haven't got my NVQ Clairvoyancy yet.

Have you looked at the airline, train, ferry sites?

 

You fail to tell us where you want to travel from nor your destination.

 

So I can't decide whether or not I can be arsed to help you.:confused:

Depends if you want to take car or not really. If you want your car the cheapest option is probably the Liverpool to Dublin slow boat. You can do an overnight crossing with a cabin, or a day crossing and get a cabin if you chose. Price includes a couple of meals too.

 

This works out quite well if you're travelling onward in Ireland as you get food and to break your journey with a kip on the ferry. If you're only going to Dublin however it'd probably be too slow.

 

As lolli_pop says, the best option for taking your car on the ferry is by far the fast ferry from holyhead, however this is relatively expensive, can get booked up at peak times and if the weather's bad it gets cancelled and you have to go on the slow boat. If you're on the sea cat and bad weather comes you'd best have a strong tum!!!

 

If you don't want to take your car flying would probably be cheapest.
