I am specifically searching for a gunsmiths by the name of Lound at Athercliffe Common. I would be very grateful for any help with this search. It would be a useful starting point, maybe, if I knew whether Attercliffe Common was formerly, Athercliffe Common and therefore around what time the name changed. retep Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 Perhaps it would be better if you gave what information you have, where do you get your Athercliffe from and what info on Lound any initials, Attercliffe Road was Carlton Road but I think Attercliffe Common has always been, does your information come from the makers stamp.
