pottedplant
Thyme Cafe at Broomhill may be an option for you.
marmalade3
'Rajput' at the bottom of Springvale Road - really good -there is also a restaurant on Crookes - its called Tom Scotts that's good and the Punchbowl pub on Crookes has just started to 'do' food - not been there but I have heard its OK

pottedplant
Casanova Italian restaurant is excellent! Has there been a recent improvement? I was last there a couple of of years ago and the food wasn't that great I have to say. The newer Italian at Crosspool (can't remember name tho') has been getting some good reviews. Rich
A few years back I tried to organise a forum foodie meet at Casanova's, I emailed them via their website but they never got back to me.
taxman
Casanova is fine. You get big portions of pasta and their tiramisu is wonderful. I've known people have two helpings! I'm not too keen on the waiting staff always trying to fill your wine glasses up though.
