MrSmith
Of course they can both be true. How can God know what you will do next and still give you have a choice, God knows before you do it, so the choice you make is predetermined and can’t be any different to that which God already knows. MrSmith
The God you are portraying would not then plan a path for anyone which included sin therefore giving us a perfect world. Yes God has a path laid out for us but we choose whether or not to follow it. . If that was the case then God wouldn't know what you intend to do, but because God is all knowing it must know what you will do, therefore your choices are limited to the path God knows you will take. If God is omnipotenent and all knowing allowing you genuine free will and yet knowing which choices you freely take before you do so is not all difficult. I do find it quite amusing that you seem to deciding what god can and can't do - he can do what he likes, if he's god, isn't it though?
wornout53
God does know what we will do but does not prevent us doing what we choose to. He knows when we are going to stray from the straight and narrow and if we give him chance will help us choose the right path however much like the child who does exactly what his parent has told him not to we can choose to disobey. Gormenghast
Yes God has a path laid out for us but we choose whether or not to follow it. . So what's the point of a god then? We do what we do, regardless of what god says you should do. We are just an accident of the laws of physics. We'll all be dead soon in geological time and that's all there is. Accept it. We're all just here for a brief time. No future, no going to heaven and meeting our ancestors. That's all a load of rubbish. We live and we die. We are part of evolution. Get over it. God doesn't need to help you chose, because god already knows the choice you will make, God new the choices you would make before you was born. You can't make any different choices because in doing so you would prove God doesn't know everything.

So god knows the path you will take wether its the right path or the wrong path and it can't be changed ? So how can he help us change the path from wrong to right ?
