Brighton & Hove Bus Co - 'babe' Row !

Recommended Posts

Only the ugly ones though.

Its always the ugly ones who kick off at stuff like this.

Its probably because no one would ever call these munters love, darling or babes instead refering to them as Fella, mate and Geezer.

Its not their fault really, they cant help being bitter.

well put mrmoran thats what i said either that or shes a lesbo feminist with green hair (vegetable) cornish pastie shoes on her feet amd carrying a socialist workers party magazine - in other words my idea of a woman from hell !

'Babe' crosses the line between commonly used terms of endearment, like 'love' and 'duck'.

Its not something I've heard people use in that context - it would seem very creepy coming from a bus driver you had never met before.

Here's the response of the woman who complained

Seems perfectly reasonable to me - unfortunately it was twisted into a 'PC gone mad story' for morons to froth about (see post 1 for details).

The one I hate the most is "honey" that's a little too much...
Frank, luv, I promise never to call you 'honey', OK, duck? ;)

Just read the link, she sounds a little uptight. Let's hope for her sake, she never has to live any further north than Watford, she'd never be off the phone! :)

Someone said on Breakfast this morning, if you don't like terms of endearment, don't ever go to live in the North, which made me choke into my cornflakes.
