Strix
it may just be support for taking in all the information they'll be giving him, and to help him make decisions about signing consent forms which can get people a bit het up when they're put on the spot overwhelmed by so much at once Do try not to worry about it
MonkeyLover
I had a colonoscopy last year and was asked to take someone with me - it was probably because i had sedation. It wouldn't be a colonoscopy he is having though, because i had to starve for ages beforehand and take laxatives:gag: Good Luck!
Balpin
I agree with Strix, Going to hospital is not like popping in to your GP these days. I would always recommend having some support. They are massive places, with everyone dashing about their business. You do need someone with you I would suggest.
Darth Vader
some tests might require monitoring of the patient afterwards and staff can check occasionally but might not be able to be physically with the patient all the time, so maybe that's why.
