Mercurian
I lead a busy life and it is not always possible to get my five a day. Five a day food cannot be stocked for long periods as it needs to be bought fresh. Wine however is full of the goodness of grapes and can be stockpiled. So , if I cannot get my five a day how many bottles of wine should I drink as a substitute?

Mercurian
Do I take it that nobody knows? I cannot find an answer on Google either.
medusa
The important thing with the five a day thing is that it should be 5 different fruits and vegetables, so wine (assuming it could be taken as one of your 5 a day and I don't think this is true!) could only ever be taken as one of your 5 a day. As one of the 5 a day I assume that one would take it as fruit juice, of which the standard serving is a normal glassful. Disappointing, I know, but one glass is probably the best answer you're going to get.
vwkittie
Would one wine and one cider count as two?
Mercurian
Would one wine and one cider count as two? Also if you include pear cider it should count as 3!
medusa
Ah no, you can only have 1 of your 5 as juice, or two if they are a smoothie (apparently- who makes up these rules that nobody understands?).

Rich
Ah no, you can only have 1 of your 5 as juice, or two if they are a smoothie (apparently- who makes up these rules that nobody understands?). The "rules" are made up by some Government "health expert" who clearly doesn't know what he/she is blabbering on about.
