Bottles of wine and your "five a day"

Recommended Posts

I lead a busy life and it is not always possible to get my five a day. Five a day food cannot be stocked for long periods as it needs to be bought fresh. Wine however is full of the goodness of grapes and can be stockpiled. So , if I cannot get my five a day how many bottles of wine should I drink as a substitute?

The important thing with the five a day thing is that it should be 5 different fruits and vegetables, so wine (assuming it could be taken as one of your 5 a day and I don't think this is true!) could only ever be taken as one of your 5 a day.

As one of the 5 a day I assume that one would take it as fruit juice, of which the standard serving is a normal glassful. Disappointing, I know, but one glass is probably the best answer you're going to get.

Ah no, you can only have 1 of your 5 as juice, or two if they are a smoothie (apparently- who makes up these rules that nobody understands?).

The "rules" are made up by some Government "health expert" who clearly doesn't know what he/she is blabbering on about.
