SturmeyMan Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 Fantastic long school holidays spent on the bolehills, rivelin valley. Out all day and in the evenings. Weeks passed collecting bonfire stuff and fireworks and protecting your pile of rubbish from theft and arson by neighbouring teams.Gathering clay for winter warmers from the bombed building sites and dashing about the streets leaving a trail of acrid smoke. Perhaps best of all when the snow came and Matlock Road/Fulton Road/Birkendale became something like the Cresta Run at least until the hated grit wagon came to spoil it.
