poppet2
That tale actually dates from a real situation in humanity you know. At one point in our history the population of humanity actually fell to a few people. This was about 20,000 years ago. Please provide more information on this, such as why and under what circumstances did this occur?

At one point in our history the population of humanity actually fell to a few people. This was about 20,000 years ago. We are all descended from those few people. All races and types of human come from those few. 20,000 years ago humans were all over the planet.
RootsBooster
In the year 0000, there were only two people (Adam & Eve); so I guess that you mean the year 1 CE (otherwise known as '1 AD'). Right, because nobody existed pre-A.D. (which was B.C.)
poppet2
And whilst on the topic of the first people on earth, what was the relevance of Giants on the earth, as indicated in Genisis 6:4?
Balpin
Please provide more information on this, such as why and under what circumstances did this occur? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toba_catastrophe_theory It is explained there. But basically it was massive volanic activity that reduced us the basics of a few hundred people. The same as when Yellowstone lets go again in the near future. MrSmith
Right, because nobody existed pre-A.D. (which was B.C.) He was saying that there was a 1BC and 1AD, but no 0 in between.
RootsBooster
He was saying that there was a 1BC and 1AD, but no 0 in between. Ah okay. Do many Christians still believe Adam and Eve were the first 2 people? From what I've read over the last few years I thought it had become thought of more as a metaphor amongst theists. Balpin
He was saying that there was a 1BC and 1AD, but no 0 in between. It cant be a zero, as he was there. So therefore we take it all from that time. Simple if you think about it.
