I have found out he was married to an elizabeth but they seem to vanish. Found a few headstones but the dates dont add up grrrr I found a forum in Scotland but can not get on till they send me email. Was he born in Sheffield as I'm a bit confused with you mentioning Scotland? There is one born in 1778 in Sheffield to an Edward and Rebecca Lambert or a couple in Rotherham around that time. smary Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Is your John R Lambert the one born 1781 Hornsey, Middlesex - he married an Elizabeth and there are a few people researching this family on Ancestry.
