I am doing my family tree but I am stuck on John r lambert 1780 I am getting very frustrated and every time I go on sites they want to charge.

I have found out he was married to an elizabeth but they seem to vanish.

Found a few headstones but the dates dont add up grrrr

I found a forum in Scotland but can not get on till they send me email.

Was he born in Sheffield as I'm a bit confused with you mentioning Scotland?

There is one born in 1778 in Sheffield to an Edward and Rebecca Lambert or a couple in Rotherham around that time.

Is your John R Lambert the one born 1781 Hornsey, Middlesex - he married an Elizabeth and there are a few people researching this family on Ancestry.

A bit more information would help - occupation and the place where he lived for example.
