donkey
Its only ever a matter of time Yes, because some nerd has made up a law about anyone alluding to the Nazis EVER, we should all pretend that the most significant historical events of the last century didn't happen and never make any reference to them whatsoever. donkey
He always stuck to his guns. He was not a hypocrite. Have to disagree here. In the 1960s he was actively encouraging Protestant mobs to attack Catholic marchers seeking equal rights and power sharing. He didn't stick to his guns because he signed up to all the demands of the Civil Rights Marchers 30 years and 3,000 (mostly Catholic) dead bodies later. He was a hypocrite because he espoused the rule of law and condemned violence and terrorism when it suited his cause, but was quick to use inflammatory language which he knew would result in violence against Catholics, when it suited him. His condemnation of Loyalist paramilitaries was muted and his condemnation of Loyalist mob violence on the streets was virtually non existent during such events as his campaign against The Sunningdale Agreement in 1974 (virtually indistinguishable to the agreement he signed up to 20 years later) and various other Loyalist 'Days of Action' during which Catholic areas and security forces were systematically attacked.
