Who Scared Of Putting The Heating On? Disgrace.

Recommended Posts

What, there have been no wars since 1945?

There are a few people around here who were born in the 1910s ... and at least 3 who were born before that.:hihi:

But their heating is paid for in with the care home fees i guess.;)

we have the heating on low for 2hrs in morning to take the chill off and then at night after around 6pm, and it still costs a fortune in gas and is always freezing as the house has no insulation.

Can`t you get a grant for that?

No, they have to pay for that themselves ... along with their annual golf membership fees.:hihi: (There aren't many of the 90+ people on the golf course ... but there are one or two. There are also quite a few driving around in cars.... It pays to keep your eyes open, because in some cases, their eyes don't work too well. :hihi::hihi::hihi:

Don't think ours does either, if I have the heating on full blast for 2 hours as someone once suggested, I only feel the effects while its on, soon as I turn it off, its freezing!

This is from the website below.

Thanks for the link. - As I said, I can't set my water temperature that high.

We have plenty of other 'problems' around here. I haven't run the AC for a couple of months, but before I do, I will probably have it cleaned and intense UV bug killers installed. - Mould tends to grow in the HVAC system and some of it is pretty nasty.

There is also a (fairly common) problem known as 'sub-tropical allergy syndrome'. When I wake up in the morning, my eyes and nose are streaming and I often feel pretty crappy. - Claritin clears it up within an hour or two (and once the exact problem has been identified, I might be able to do something about it.)

'Life in a sub-tropical paradise' isn't perfect, but I'd rather have a runny nose for an hour or so than shiver. :hihi:
