ferno
I too hate the phrase 'real woman/women' that often gets bandied around. It just seems to be a way to make one group feel good about themselves by making those who don't fit into it feel like a lesser woman. Not nice. A woman's natural body shape is NOT what the fashion model and contrived manufactured girl band skinny cocaine whores are like. Adele is beautiful and beautifully gifted and she's not selling herself by sticking her tits out in the sort of soft porn videos The Saturdays make, for instance. Stranza
lol, you think they don't photoshop Adele in photoshoots? Get real. Honestly I didn't think that until about 3 minutes ago when I saw an older picture of her in a magazine upstairs! You could be right she has changed! (not that it changes what Lagerfeld said but it just goes to show how common it is)

Leah-Lacie
You make a very valid point. It's fine to criticise, and indeed make programs decrying "size 0" models, which if my understanding is right is UK size6?, Size 0 (USA) is a UK size 4, which most shops didn't used to sell, but in recent years, all the High Street brands have started making clothes in size 4. My sister is a size 4/6 and shes lucky just to be naturally thin, she eats a lot, and a lot of crap, but doesn't gain weight. She doesn't look unhealthy like some of these stick thin starved models you see!
Leah-Lacie
To be fair, she is overweight. If you go by medical recommendations, she would probably be classed as morbidly obese. I think most people come up overweight if you get weighed and check that chart at the GP surgery At my height, and my weight, I'm obese, 'should' be 3st lighter to be healthy apparently! Women's natural bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and that includes being thin. Naturally thin.
ferno
I don't think many fashion models are naturally as thin as they are.
JenC
I don't think many fashion models are naturally as thin as they are. Perhaps not, I don't know what diet they have. But there are plenty of everyday people who eat healthily, eat heartily and are naturally slim.
ferno
Perhaps not, I don't know what diet they have. Cocaine and amphetamines.
JenC
Cocaine and amphetamines. Fine, yes that's how some models get their shape. What I'm saying is there are plenty of regular people (not models) who are naturally this shape, without diets and without drugs. It is their natural body shape. You claimed a woman's natural body shape isn't like that and I'm saying it can be.
