Is the Conservative Party full of homosexuals?

Recommended Posts

it's not full - there's plenty of room for more - I nearly said there's plenty of room at the back, but thought better of it

Gives a whole new meaning to phrases like "we're going to have to administer some very stiff medicine" " and "some people may find it unpleasant but it has to be done."

According to Ken Livingstone the Tory party is riddled with gays too afraid or hypocritical to come out.

Whereas the gays in Labour are all out and proud.

Is he correct?

Does it really matter?

Exactly.

Why should anyone care ?

If anyone is gay and wants to keep it private, why should they be forced into coming out?

This thread needs closing. IMO

That would be pretty heavy handed censorship. If it doesn't matter, why shouldn't it be up for discussion?

What business is it of yours if someone is gay or not?

Does it stop them doing their job?

Would you vote for someone else if you found out someone was gay and not come out in pubic?

Well said Skirmisher. It is up to the individual wether or not they come out in public. Some of us are proud of our sexuality and are not afraid of letting everyone know that they are gay and proud of it but a member of parliament must maintain as much personal privacy as is humanly possible or the media scum dog's will make out that he/she is less human than the next person. :nono:

Nobody is saying that gays should be forced to come out, or that it matters to their job, but it raises questions about attitudes within the conservative party if a disproportionate number of their gay activists feel unable come out.

But how do you know that they are gay activists if they haven't come out?
