Have just listened to a debate on this on Jeremy Vine, once again it is the rich people that will benefit from this.

I'm fairly sure that this policy will result in me and my neighbour doing each other's hoovering.

donkey
You think they will subsidise shoe shine boys? You don't see enough of them about these days. You've got the principle the wrong way round. The idea would be to subsidise the people who were getting their shoes shined. This should be possible at no extra cost to the economy by cutting health and educational benefits to the shoeshines. There are too many people with GCSEs these days anyway. It devalues the qualification when everyone has them, and children who are the perfect size for going up chimneys waste these goden years sitting in a classroom learning liberal tosh from the lefty teachers who fill them up with garbage about wanting opportunities and 'decent living standards.' No wonder this country has gone to the dogs!

So the workers that have built the Mansions and the Bentleys, taught the kids in boarding schools, provided private hospital treatment and clothed the rich in all their first class glory!....................have never benefited from all this employment? donkey
So the workers that have built the Mansions and the Bentleys, taught the kids in boarding schools, provided private hospital treatment and clothed the rich in all their first class glory!....................have never benefited from all this employment? Have you noticed that after wealth became more evenly distributed, the workers benefitted a lot more, and now that the super rich are getting richer again, most other people are getting poorer again. Interestingly, the richest people are increasing their wealth the most and the fastest, and the poorest people are seeing their living standards eroded faster than any other group. Perhaps there are some conclusions you might be able to draw from these facts?
