yes andy it could be , north korea is a potential war zone and has nukes

nowt on the real news sources

'Has nukes' has to be taken with a pinch of salt; North Korea's military infrastructure is so old and decrepit and patched up that we needn't worry too much about that.

Far more likely is the reality of North Korea spoiling for a fight with China, which, contrary to popular news myths has NEVER been very friendly to the former on account of longstanding border-disputes...

it depends whether 'we' care about wars that 'we' don't get killed in

1.1 m standing army, 7.7m reserve force.

war with china sounds fanciful, but would be devastating - a repeat of the korean war is obviously more likely (but still very unlikely)

Are you sure because over half a million Chinese were killed or injured defending North Korea in their war against South Korea and the UN. China also are responsible for around 90% of North Korea's energy and they are also North Korea's biggest trading partner.

There was some discussion about their border, but China are propping up North Korea, without this support I doubt North Korea could function, even on the limited basis that is does. So any talk of North Korea spoiling for a fight with China is very wide of the mark. The relationship is very much a father and spoilt son relationship.

They have the second largest army in the world (including reserves), over 8 million strong, only Russia's army is bigger. They have lots of weapons.

Seoul is only a few miles away & has over 10 million population. It doesn't matter how old & inaccurate their weapons are, if they wanted to they could cause a hell of a lot of damage & civilian deaths, there would be nothing that anybody could do to stop that.

I think you may be right.

The 2 nukes that they have alleged to have tested sound like failed tests as the destructive power was very small and no EMP pulse was detected. The latter is always accompanied by a successful Nuke blast and can be picked up from space.
