T. Spark
You are financially prohibited from driving. Please ring 0800 0 55 66 88 and claim JSA instead. You may also be entitled to housing benefit/lha and council tax benefit. Take advantage of passported benefits. Get yourself down dentist, doctors and opticians. Plead depression at doctors, you may be entitled to DLA. You are not allowed to commute to work. You will not be better off for working until you turn 25. Haha, true. Made me chuckle. Emmie92
Putting an experienced driver will good history on policy as a named driver will reduce premium. Fronting - Not good advice at all.
nikki-red
Fronting - Not good advice at all. Having a named driver on your policy isnt the same as naming someone else as the MAIN driver.
KoalaFamily
Fronting - Not good advice at all. Think Bestman means as an additional driver, which will bring the premium down. A multi car policy may also help.
x_lyns_x
Have a look a tesco insurance, they do standard insurance and value insurance. Im 23 and literally just passed, before i passed i was getting a few quotes together on small engines corsa, clio etc. some of my quotes on these cars was coming up at £2000 +. I now have a peugeot 306 1.9 diesel turbo S and my insurance is £1300 with tesco standard. I went through tesco themselfs as when i did the compare websites tesco was quoting me £1700, so just by going directly to them i saved £400. Just have a really good shop round. Norseman
Im 18 year old and cant get an insurance quote under £4000. Not suprised why people drive un isured might do my self soon. Any body wanna pay my insurance haha. Or have any info how to get it down Try the comparision sites and buy a clapped out Fiat Panda or something similar otherwise you're doomed with anything above a 1.2, the other option is not to drive until you're 21 or buy one of those 50cc twist and go mopeds. Out of interest what are you trying to insure, a souped up Corsa with lowered suspension and bad boy exhaust????
f0rd
Try phoning closer towards the end of the month. The call assistants have targets to reach, once that quota is filled then you can get a better figure as assistants are gunning it for sale/refferal numbers and the bonus associated with that... Or so says my mate who works at an insurance company, could be a load of cods-wallop mind.
Saxon
One of my pupils had this problem about 6 months ago when he tried to insure his 1.0 litre Fiat Punto and the best quote he could get was just short of £4k. I had a look round and found 4 companies that say they specialise in young drivers - however I've not had any feedback. They're all on this link so if you do try them, I'd appreciate any feedback
DixyHol
Im 18 year old and cant get an insurance quote under £4000. Not suprised why people drive un isured might do my self soon. Any body wanna pay my insurance haha. Or have any info how to get it down I went with Tescos as they were over 50% cheaper than any other quote i got. Ive heard bad things about their customer service but the price was too good compared to other quotes. However, their customer service has proved spot on and 100% willing and eager to help!!
