mandyjf
I've recently come by some old wedding photos from approximately the 1940s, with my late aunt as a bridesmaid to an unidentified couple. It is most probably a Sheffield church in the background but its only identifiable feature is that there are loads of steps up to it, the photos being taken at the bottom. Has anyone got any suggestions? My aunt lived in the Firth Park area and her name was Muriel (Rawson) Crookes.

nikki-red
The church on the corner opposite the NGH, St. Cuthberts, has quite a few steps, could it be that one? St, Cuthberts
mandyjf
Thanks, I'll go down there and check it out. My aunt had two brothers, one being my dad Bill, but no sisters so no brother- in- laws on my side. Her husband, my Uncle Harry, had two brothers, so they would be Crookes. Joseph and George, I think.
