laineyiow
Ugh! If there's one thing I really hate it's a wet room. After my experiences of them it is something I could never contemplate.

HeadingNorth
Me too, I just don't get the point. Why get everything wet.? If you're sufficiently badly disabled, it's no longer an optional extra. To the OP: if you're having this done because of a disability, rather than personal choice, look into whether the council or any other groups are offering grants to pay for the work. The Citizen's Advice might know of some, if nobody else does. Most people I know who have had a wet room fitted, have not had to pay for it themselves. poppins
I wouldn't imagine they would be a very good selling feature if you ever wanted to sell the house.
shubh
why do you need to covert bathroom into wet room? Get the space saving stream chamber separately if health issues are your concern.

If the above is the case then this url may be of use. Grants are normally available but local authorities have a limited budget, some better than others. So it'll be a long wait and you'll have to be assessed by an occupational therapist and have your finances assessed to see if you qualify for a full grant or partial.
