At the moment one parent can do nothing and the working absent parent has to pay anything up to 40% of their wage, not exactly equal. Maybe if the CSA made it clear that both parties are treated equally with the financial contributions it may make both sides feel better about it. But if you are in a relationship with a woman you trust to such a degree, you would presumably love the fruit of that relationship and be happy to financially support your offspring, in addition to the emotional and intellectual support you are providing to it?
