Big Sigh
I would start by having a look at the contract of employment first (if he has one) secondly take the contract to a C.A.B or a solicitor.
Grandad.Malky
If I had only just started I would be looking for a another job rather than trying to take on a company over its policies, what do you mean by “polices”, we all know there are employment laws but “polices sounds a bit vague. cbr900
It's mainly the hours , he was told he would be getting £10/hour and be working a minimum of 8 hours a day and could bo out for up to 12 hours a day. After getting his first wage slip his money was short (very short) . After enquiring , he was told he will only be paid for the 8 hours and not for any travel between jobs . Last week he had to be in Harrogate for 6:30 then travel to Grimsby then to Hull , in all on the road for over 6 hours which makes it over a 14 hour day . cbr900
I would think travel to your first job and home from your last is your own time , but to and from jobs should be included in your work time . Thats how it's always been for me anyway .
dawny1970
well if his job involves mandatory travel, then they have to include that in the hours
