NorthernStar
He is a ridiculous numpty, but there seems to be an absence of info regarding the level of coercion by the FBI. This leaves me questioning how this came about, did the FBI just find some simpleton and put the idea into his head in the first place?

I don't think the FBI are about to disclose their surveillance techniques do you? It would be extremely foolish.
Balpin
It is astonisnisng they lay themselves so wide open. If they called themselves Dave Thomas and shaved the beard off as per the 9/11 mob they would be undectable. This current mob seem to want to be found, as with the underpants man. Tony Erikson
This wreaks. It seems more like entrapment. Undercover agents taught the guy all he knows about weapons. It seems like the American administration are now creating their own terrorists so they can justify the war on terror.
Bloomdido
Couldn't they have just had him 'sectioned' and saved a lot of time and money or do they need to 'encourage' sad people like him to act so as to maintain their terror funding? Tony Erikson
but entrapment is not illegal in the usa Illegal or not, it's immoral. Why the need to create your own terrorists? That's all they have done.
mj.scuba
Illegal or not, it's immoral. Why the need to create your own terrorists? That's all they have done. What was immoral about it? If it wasn't the directions of FBI agents he was following, he'd probably have hooked up at some point with real extremists, using real explosives. The FBI has done well to take a vile piece of scum off their streets and made it a marginally safer place for their citizens.
