Simple answer. No. If they are not doing anything that conflicts with their usual job and are not breaching their contract, what does it matter. What does it matter if say, Sophie Rayworth, reads the news by day and then opts to do alternative TV work for someone else at night.

Mecky
They are allowed to have additional jobs, just like the same person can work at Ernst and Young and Irwin Mitchell at the same time
Jim Graham
Well we have no choice really so I agree. If you have no choice it's a direct tax. AND it's a double tax because you pay out of money that has already been taxed.
Jim Graham
They are allowed to have additional jobs, just like the same person can work at Ernst and Young and Irwin Mitchell at the same time I know a couple of people at the BBC and it depends on their terms and conditions of employment or contract. Some can and some can't do other work for outside bodies. Some are obliged to do other work for the BBC within their contract terms.
