kel-lou
Wetherspoons pub in Hillsborough is ok with kids. I second wetherspoons, we go as a family once a week with 3 children where they are welcome as long as they are eating. If you can venture a litte further to Ecclesfield Meadow Farm is perfect for families with children
scousemouse
I like well behaved children very much.....................it is the ones who are allowed to run riot in restaurants/pubs whilst the parents look on and think it is acceptable to let them. pottedplant
meadow farm at ecclesfield is great for kids it has a free child play area next to tables kids can fun wild till food arrives!! I do wish this type of place did not encourage running wild.........I know in this case it is in a play area but the concept of "you go for a meal out and get to play and run and scream and shout" is not one that I support. Why can we not just be a bit more civilised about the whole thing and encourage a meal where all sit nicely and engage in conversation - finding that in itself to be an enjoyable experience? I don't see why kids shouldn't be introduced to civilised socialising, but encouraging them to run riot where there's hot food and glasses is detrimental to both the kids and anybody else they encounter (and how do they know the difference if they're taken elsewhere?)
