Murphy Jnr
Lay back and enjoy your freedom, ideas (largely insignificant) will pop into your noggin' from time to time, ignore them, benefits is the way forward now.
Cyclone
None of those things, I just packed it in, I have no money, not retiring age for quite some time and did not lose my job. You're planning to starve then?

foxforcefive
After packing in work a few weeks ago I find myself being bored stiff during the daytime and then at night I don't even feel tired and end up staying up until stupid o'clock. Any idea's of filling my days? You don't mention you're interests so it's a hard one, and I take it you're not interested in looking for work or working in any capacity and have limited funds?! Cheap stuff to do: Go for walks in the country, go running, go visit free museums, take up baking, restore old furniture, be a damn good housewife/husband, do crosswords, join a bookclub or knitting/sewing circle, fix all the odd jobs in your house, do the garden, become part of your local church community. Get an imagination and think for yourself
epiphany
Learn how to make websites (start with Wordpress). Soon you won't need to commute everyday to work for someone else. You can get up when you want and the work seems more like a hobby because you'll do a site on one of your passions. Give your laziness some proper funding. Any idea's of filling my days? Stay on the sofa, eat copious amounts of fatty food.Get morbidly obese(about 70 stone)should do it.Then enjoy a lifetime of pampering off big busted carers. Any idea's of filling my days? Drink (White lightening or home brew beer or wine if you're feeling exotic) and as you have Internet access, YouTube and porn. You could lose entire weeks with that lot.

You could lose entire weeks with that lot. Thats alright for a year or 2, but you then get bored. I like to try and earn a bit of money on the side, its like being self employed but with a DLA safety net. I have over the years become a bit of an entranopur. I buy and sell stuff that is brought to my house, someone always wants to sell something in S5, and priced right someone will always buy. Win,win!
