Any one remember Violet Brown , I think she lived on Fretson Road and went to Prince Edwards school.

I worked with a Carol Inglis 1960-62. She lived on Fitzhubert I think.

I didn't live on the manor but many of my school friends did in the early to mid sixties here a few names.

Used to to walk her home from the Embassy!

In 1962, she was dating a telephone engineer. Don't know if they married as I haven't seen her from 1963 onwards.

She'd be 80  -ish now.

 

We had an unusual relationship. I used to see her around town, and she'd often leave her friends and join me in whatever I  was doing. Pictures or the pub. We'd always make a date for next time. but she would never show up.

 

I got tired of standing around under the GPO clock, or at the Manor Top, and waiting for her to show up, which she never did.

 

Too popular, I guess, so I just enjoyed the times we spent together when we bumped into each other.

 

I have great memories of her.

 

Wherever you are Carol, you still have a piece of my heart!
