Bollie
Here's one for ya, We are off to Tunisia this year, and as my partner is a smoker, he wants to bring home as many cigarettes as possible as they are so cheap. Firstly, Tunisia is out of the EU so does the same '200 per person' rule apply? Secondly, We have 3 kids with us. Could we put 200 in their cases too? Is it 'per person' or 'per adult'? Any help appreciated.

Leah-Lacie
I would think it was per adult though! Edit: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/customs/arriving/arrivingnoneu.htm#1 Additional conditions when bringing goods into the UK To qualify for the tax/duty free allowances you also need to meet the following conditions: You must transport the goods yourself. The goods must be for your own use or as a gift. If the person you give the goods to pays you in any way (including reimbursing you for any expenses), then it's not a gift and you'll have to pay the duty and/or tax. To bring in alcohol or tobacco you must be aged 17 or over.
MikeDaMouse
It surely has to be per adult... I mean would you let a 10year old walk around with 200 sig's???? I wouldent
Bollie
It's a tricky one. I, as an adult, have paid their baggage allowance. This 2 week break has cost £3200.

Leah-Lacie
Whats the worst that could happen? You hand them over, or pay the duty on them, or take a chance that your partner gets a few extra cheap fags?
