Amaranthus
If someone offered you a plate of warm soggy biscuits I'm sure you'd probably decline, yet we think nothing of sticking a biscuit into a cuppa cha before eating it. Why do we do this? Does it actually taste good? Or is it just a habit taught from being young? And we all know the dangers of losing your biscuit in your brew... So why do it, why why why??? Amaranthus
The main reason stems from sea rations:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardtack That's a very interesting article. "To soften it, it was often dunked in brine, coffee, or some other liquid or cooked into a skillet meal." I knew when I started this thread that there was a serious explanation. And biscuits soaked in brine sound lovely...

Redyam
There is nothing better than dipping a chocolate hobnob into tea for a few seconds, warming up and slightly melting the chocolate, then licking the sweet, rich deliciously warm chocolate off.
