Guest brownd95
Hi everyone, Just getting back into cycling. I haven't been on a bike since I was a kid but now I am 28, trying to get fit and wish to join a cycling club. Would anyone be able to give me some advice, or useful information with regards starting out, suitable club for beginners. I'm looking long term to get a road racing bike as I admire cyclists who are out racing Sunday mornings. Hope someone can lead me in the right direction. ** A club in Derbyshire would be better suited but I can travel to Sheffield, I don't mind**
dialled
think the best thing is to try your local bike shop, they normally have a group that rides out from there if it a good lbs .
Wroughton
Hi, Fellow cyclist here. I popped the search term "cycling clubs Derbyshire" into a website called Google and it brought up a number of different cycling clubs links such as the Whirlow Wheelers. Have a look and see if any of them are suitable. Good luck with it.
Tobyjug
Another cyclist here, a member of one of Sheffield's clubs. I would try the British Cycling website, there is a club finder facility which will find all the clubs in your area. You can then look at each clubs website and see which is best for you. SportsTrophy
You can always go out with The Rutland Cycling Club I was a member 20 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend trips out into Derbyshire. When you get good you may be able to earn one of these Italian cycling trophies
