Halibut
Does anyone ever really find true love? Undoubtedly they do. Particularly if you think about 'true love' in practical and realistic terms and not in Hollywood/Mills and Boon soft focus/balderdash fashion. Suffragette1
Does anyone ever really find true love? Yes. It's hanging onto it and going through all the various stages of a relationship as it evolves and matures that's the hard part.

Alien52
It's a one way street. Maybe that's why you like it. A safe fantasy, with practically zero possibility of ever becoming real. But I like to talk and socialise with them they are some of my friends. All attraction is not sexual!
vwkittie
Do feminists ever find true love? Yes. If it's not a partnership of equals, it is not true love. I wasn't going to post on this thread and am amazed such a rubbish troll post has generated 4 pages of replies, but I thought this was lovely and very true
Halibut
Yes. It's hanging onto it and going through all the various stages of a relationship as it evolves and matures that's the hard part. That's exactly what I was alluding to in my own post - I had my parents in mind as it happens - and the notion that love isn't about all the fluffy, giddy stuff (lovely though it may be). It's expressed in actions, the everyday things, the hard times, the shared values, the compromising and forgiving. It's the ability to endure and to take the harder road when it needs to be taken, even when there's another route that offers a swifter journey or a better view. I believe I've found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with - we're marrying later this year. True love? I think so, but ask us again in thirty years time.
