Saxon
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE CUP FINAL Kalcrest Sheffield Steeldogs v Guildford FLames Home Leg -TUESDAY 13th MARCH, 7.30pm AT ICESHEFFIELD Kalcrest Sheffield Steeldogs are pleased to confirm the date of the first leg of the EPL Cup Final against Guildford Flames, a contest comprised of a home and away two-legged aggregate series. Winning the first piece of silverware of the season will be the ultimate target for both teams and it should make for a cracking couple of games. It is a massive achievement for this young 'Made in Sheffield' team to reach the Final this season, especially considering how Steeldogs were languishing near the bottom of the table this time last year. It is also a first for an EPL Sheffield team to go beyond a semi-final stage. Owner Shane Smith is very proud of how his team has performed all year and knows the players will continue to give their all over these two games as they compete against the best team in the league. Coach Andre Payette will be working hard with his guys towards the achieving a Cup win but in the meantime, Steeldogs have to focus on the upcoming mid-week game on Wednesday against Basingstoke Bison – 7.00pm at iceSheffield. More details will follow on the Cup Final, but please put this date in your diary and continue your great support of the Steeldogs this season by bringing as many friends, neighbours and colleagues to the Final, as well as all the remaining games this season as the team drive for a strong finish.
