Hillsey
I am doing a coast to coast charity bike ride on the 2nd to 4th of April and need a light weight bike for it. I don't really want to buy one as I only need it for these 3 days and renting can be expensive. Does anyone have a bike they would lend me for the event- obviously I would look after the bike like it was my own and pay for repairs should there be any. The event is to raise money for the cystic fibrosis trust so you will be doing a very good deed I am a slim female and about 5, 3" Thanks!! SportsTrophy
Do you want a road bike or a mountain bike. If you are using the Trans Pennine Trail from West to East Coast then I would go for a mountain bike.
Hillsey
Ideally a hybrid bike as that is what the organisers have recommended. I am not sure if it is the 'Trans Pennine Trail' we are taking, all I know is it is from Whitehaven to Tyneside. I will explore this further
ducker
if you are doing the wrynose and hardknott pass get one with an engine in it. I have a raleigh mountain bike needs tyres blowing up and a clean has 10 gears i think, old but will do it if no one offers anything better.
