Censorship in action

Recommended Posts

It's an often misused word "banned" when applied to music - it gives the impression of something official where in the vast majority of cases it is individual or groups of radio stations and/or retailers that refuse to play/sell it.

Who mentioned "banned"? I don't see the word being used, never mind misused.

However the words "really crazy censorship" might have.

Fair do's. The article is about music being banned from radio shows etc.

But it isn't. It's about music that some radio shows choose not to play, which is a different thing altogether.

Has Beethoven ever been banned from Radio One? No, but they've never played any of it either.
