Marierob
At a market I bought a very old chain dog collar with a lock on it the brass plate is engraved Thom's Heeley Crookes Moor. does anyone know anything about this person at a guess it would be Victorian or earlier and I cannot find a Crookesmoor anywhere but Sheffield. Thankyou.
me-and-pippo
This could be him in 1925; Thomas Heeley, commercial traveller, 34 Oxford Street. Link to Oxford Street
Marierob
Thanks for that I bought the collar from a market stall in Sydney Australia some years ago..they had a lot of old articles from the UK...it could be the owner but I can't imagine a commercial traveller owning a dog..although it is quite a small collar. I live in Sydney Australia (born in Watford Hertfordshire)

I wonder if he emigrated for a better life too? Welcome to SF btw.
Marierob
It's a very heavy collar for a lapdog it would be more pug size maybe it's for a ferret. thanks for the welcome.
