Ousetunes
Two sides of the same coin. Would that be a tanner or a ten pence piece?

rickiethecat
Sick n tired of Cameron , Labour , Con Dems etc etc ? Have a look at the 39 degrees website. Apparently 39 degrees is what it takes to start an avalanche ( of public opinion ). Looks like your website is a commmercial one that aims to make money by making films. http://www.39degrees.eu/ This looks more like a scam than a political movement. I was going to say, the correct organisation is 38 Degrees http://www.38degrees.org.uk/ 1 degree out from the OP you might say. I signed up with them on the day they launched as their original campaign was in favour of recall elections (in the wake of the MP's expenses scandal), which is a proposal I support. Currently they are campaigning heavily against the government's NHS bill http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/Protect_our_NHS_Petition#petition Against tax dodgers http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/complain-to-hmrc And this campaign for cheaper electricity bills http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/the-big-switch#petition

This sounds more like an offshoot of the labour party than a truly independent one. I wonder where their donations really come from?
Mecky
That's it, let's resort to the old cliches. Anything other than discuss and address the main issues which are turning my country into an unrecognisable mess. Does that mean alc's wrong then, just because you said that? This sounds more like an offshoot of the labour party than a truly independent one. I wonder where their donations really come from? It's left leaning for sure but was against quite a bit of what Labour were doing when they were in office. As to funding https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/page/contribute We're an independent not-for profit organisation and don't accept money from government, big business, or political parties. We rely on donations from individuals to help pay for the technology, the research, the equipment and the small office we need to organise campaigns. If you've ever signed one of their petitions then the chances are you will have had an e-mail from them asking for a donation, espeically if they decide to do a billboard campaign on an issue and they need funding for that. alchresearch
Does that mean alc's wrong then, just because you said that? I hope he isn't an example of UKIP is about - ignoring the important questions when pressed. At least Nick Griffin did on Question Time. Imagine the abuse a Tory supporter on here would get if he replied to a debate with "That's it, let's resort to the old cliches.", because I've seen many people on here use them against the Tories (posh, public school) but I've took the time to prove them wrong. It seems its easier on here to dodge the question rather than back down or apologise.
scentral
OCCUPY are holding a 24 hour pop-up camp on Friday 9th March. Which is precisely why the 3 'main' parties get away with it. Show any of the 'Occupy' people a job and they'd run a mile.
