In 600 years time will Islam have matured like a fine Christianity?

Recommended Posts

The principal Islamic prophet, Muhammad, was around about 600 years after Jesus.

So what does the future hold for Islam in the future? Will it follow the decline enjoyed by that other principal religion, Christianity?

In 600 years will it mature with the passing of time? Will it's devotees dwindle in number? Will those future generations look back with embarrassment?

Or will it flourish, grow and become a dominant force in the world? What will that world look like?

Finally, before you hit reply, please make sure that you address the OP, not your prejudice or glorification. Thanks.

Islam IS mature. For you to suggest it isnt just shows you to be ignorant of Islam, its teachings and its people.

In 600 years time i hope and prey Islam will have gone from strength to strength and is recongnised as the number one religion in the world.

Whats your interpretation then?

It's younger than Judaism by many years, and Christianity by another 600. Secondly, the Islamic world has not been through any version of an enlightenment yet, which is what happened to Christianity in Europe.

I'd call Islam immature in comparison.

I think in 600 years the major religion known on this planet will be worshipping some sort of water carrying deity, and the piscean Christ and his Hegelian counterpart will be as relevant as Moses

We all know and so not deny the Islamic Golden Age, however, as others have stated, it ground to a resounding halt.

It's a bit like us constantly going on about our World Cup victory in 1966, only far worse.

Surely it has to be more than mere coincidence that our World Cup victory happened just as the so-called Second-wave feminist movement had its beginnings?

What makes the OP and others think Christianity is tame all of a sudden? - maybe in the UK but go to America and you'll be in for a bit of a surprise.

Which nation has started the most conflicts and by whom ? - yes, those murderous, terrorist Christian Evangelicals that the likes of Bush etc... belong to.

The worst Christians are in the States. Terrorists in suits.
