itsnevereasy
Oh Id be prepared to buy one myself but am not sure where to start or what is considered cheap . I could be a right geek me with all this sky stuff it amazes me I know, just wanted to give you a chance to find out first hand how bad cheap scopes are. For an entry level scope i wouldn't go any lower than this one. It's a capable scope for the price plus it will hold it's value if you decide later that you want to sell and upgrade. Miss_S_83
Oh I see haha!! That's reasonable... is that all I need to begin with ? Are there any good (and easy to understand) books/maps I would need? Also, where is best other than Mayfield to go look? x

Mecky
"Visible planets" All planets are visible, I've yet to see an invisible one. Maybe they have a cloaking device on some planets?
Phanerothyme
Between 8 and 9:00pm. It can be tricky to see but using the moon as a guide you'll see two bright "stars" to the top left. One is Spica, the other to it's lower left, is Saturn. Really visible tomorrow at about 8:30. Got a good look at Saturn and her rings shining brightly around 1am this morning. HeadingNorth
All planets are visible, I've yet to see an invisible one. Maybe they have a cloaking device on some planets? Not necessary - Neptune manages it just by being too far away.
