Gay marriage - 'shameful'?

Recommended Posts

Consistency of a reasoned argument.

Any argument that can only justify it's position by reference to that position is hopelessly flawed, albeit by definition it will be consistent. Not recognising the circular nature of the argument would be a failure of your reason though.

Basically I think his point is that gay people are jealous that they can't get married, and thats why they want to get married and thats why they shouldn't be able to get married, because getting married is for straights, not gays. Geddit? No, me neither.

It's very simple.

Marriage is an established form of union for men and women.

It is impossible for 2 men or 2 women to be classed the same as a man and woman.

Gender difference.

Not a circular arguments just an argument based on irrefutable facts.

I think you"re on to something there suffragette; hetero -envy= homosexual men, even those who bear effeminate traits, usually desire very “masculine” men as their sex partners. Why? is it because they desire what they see as lacking in themselves: a strong masculine quality?/.isn't Such a desire really a form of self-delusion.? They are already men, already masculine. They are masculine by virtue of their sex, not by virtue of possessing a social construct of masculinity that may or may not reflect true masculinity. They need not seek completion in a sexual same.

How long did it take you to come up with that theory?

You're back to your circular argument again. The definition of marriage cannot be changed to allow gay marriage, because the definition of marriage doesn't allow two men to marry.

Doh.
