Phanerothyme
It's actually closer to 40p a day. If you put 40p a day in a jar, you will have enough for your licence fee a year from now (assuming it doesn't go up). It's not propaganda, it's true. This however: politically correct rubbish that the BBC puts out Is pure propaganda. No justification, no evidence, no definition of terms. Just emotive, value laden proclamation. With those skills you should consider a job with News International.
Phanerothyme
Its much fairer. For a start, Persil (and every other ITV advertiser) don't send round heavies to the private homes of non-customers There aren't any non-customers. Everyone is a customer, everyone is paying, just some choose not to watch the unadulterated stream of excrement that is commerical TV.
INTERVIEWER
There aren't any non-customers. Everyone is a customer, everyone is paying, That's the exact mentality of the bloated BBC, an organisation that only survives financially because people fear it... Considerable sums of the BBC tv licence fee are going to brand specialists and marketing agencies to conjure up this type of rubbish.

Please explain the errors in their reasoning: 14 550 / 365 = 39.8630137 On the other hand, please continue with your baseless propaganda and one man axe grinding display. It's most diverting. INTERVIEWER
Esther Rantzen, the broadcaster, made this comment regarding the BBC tv licence fee: "No one is going to tempt people into paying: the only method is the fear of what will happen if you don't." She revealed that the only way the modern BBC survives is by the use of threats and intimidation of the British public. My conscience will not permit me to fund an organisation that operates in such a gangster like manner.
Phanerothyme
So no mistakes in their reasoning then? That's a relief, I thought my maths was out.
WalkleyIan
Its much fairer. For a start, Persil (and every other ITV advertiser) don't send round heavies to the private homes of non-customers, demanding entry under pain of a large fine, court appearance and criminal record... But that is exactly what the BBC does. The word 'fair' simply doesn't exist in the BBC vocabulary. Henkel AG & Co don't have to send "heavies" to collect the Persil revenue from me, its already built into its products. You cant avoid paying it whether you watch any TV or not. I can get rid of my TV and avoid paying money to the BBC, but unless I live totally off grid in some manner I just cant avoid paying money to Sky / ITV etc whether I want them or not
INTERVIEWER
How you gunna buy a DVD of a program that probably wouldn't exist in it's current form if the BBC were no longer funded how it is? Incorrect. The BBC is such a popular and well respected organisation that if the compulsory BBC TV licence fee was abolished tomorrow then the overwhelming majority of the UK population would immediately subscribe to a pay-per-view BBC service at whatever the cost. Or are you actually telling us the opposite? That if the BBC were no longer funded by the licence fee it would cease to exist? I can't believe it! I won't believe it! Too many middle-class wealthy people claim to love paying for it!
spooky3
You can buy my vote if they produce some sensible sci-fi and stop embarrassing us with Doctor Who! (Great production, terrible plot scenarios and the reality ridiculous)
