coco_custard
give me some of that! which forums coco? Sounds lame but the Lush forum, once you get past all the soap threads there are some interesting discussions and a lot of scraps with swears and the occasional picture of warty genitalia to calm things down The other is a private forum set up solely to whine about things we can't on public forums due to our jobs and the like. TaxiBaz
Being joint Admin and Mod on my own forum, Here's my thought's. I have two kids, me and their mother weren't married. Therefore they're illegitimate. B* If someone was to refer to one of my kids as a B*, I'd have no problem. If someone referred my child as a B* with malice, knowing they were of unmarried parents. This is where I would step in. Swearing in itself doesn't bother me. When it's used in context to undermine other people, that shows that the shouter can't make use of the language and has to resort to insults. If someone had just hit their thumb with a hammer and posted on here. B*, just hit my thumb with a F* hammer !! I'd laugh. It's just venting frustration, not a dig at anyone. I dare say the word 'pregnant goldfish' is banned on here. Not on our forum. I use it on a regular basis if a member posts a cras joke etc. I wouldn't use it in a reply to a posters message I don't agree with. Time and place, and sensible moderation in my eyes

whitewitch
I swear when angry, I don't have a problem with people swearing as long as its not a personal attack and its not part of every sentence. The odd f word now and again is not a problem.
Balpin
No he didn't. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. I heard you the first time. I didnt know you felt so strongly about it, seeing as it was nearly a thousand years ago. In human years, thats long enough to get over things you know.
