MiaMalice
Are you ready for skates, cakes and block and roll? Sheffield Steel Rollergirls invite you to 50s themed, Block Around The Clock, on 14 April 2012 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre. Both SSRG teams will be taking on Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls. Having beaten Lincolnshire’s A- team, 103-64, in Newark last year, the SSRG All Stars are hoping to show the home crowd a win that Sheffield can be proud of. SSRG All Stars are currently ranked 13th in Europe, just behind Lincolnshire Bomber’s 11th, so this promises to be an exciting, tight match. The SSRG Crucibelles will also be playing against Lincolnshire’s B-team, making this a Sheffield- Lincolnshire double header that is not to be missed. Roller derby is a family friendly sport and SSRG always put on a good show: with market stalls, face painting, circus corner, photobooth and they promise a few 50s-style surprises. SSRG will be raising money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice with a charity raffle on the day (prizes include a £50 holiday voucher from sponsor alpharooms.com). It’s a great family day out and they welcome fans of all ages. ____________________________________________________________ Market opens: 1.00pm First bout: 2.00pm Main event: 4.00pm Standard: £7 (£6 in adv)* Concession: £5 Under 12: Free Tickets are available through the Arena Ticket Shop (http://www.arenaticketshop.co.uk/whats-on/sheffield-steel-rollergirls/) or via http://www.sheffieldsteelrollergirls.com.
