Recommended Posts

If it was me that was being spit at i would not change my routine for it .If it happened more than once i would take a can of luminouse paint on the bus and take pleasure in dousing the animal and their uniform if they spit on me, ..Let them explain that to their parents.bugger the outcome.

I was on the 88 bus going down Ecclesall road towards town, and the bus was jam packed so I was stuck at the bottom of the stairs.

A bunch of kids upstairs decide it's funny to try and get spit right in my cleavage. They then carry on spitting at me and other passengers. Other kids were egging them on so other passengers and myself got thoroughly covered.

Passengers nearer the front of the bus attempt to tell the bus driver what's happening and to stop and deal with it, yet ignores everyone completely.

Does anyone else think that this is just totally disgusting? I shouldn't have to worry about being showered with spit from kids!!! I couldn't even move because the bus was stupidly full!!

Should I place a complaint with the bus company/police? Just because they're kids doesn't mean they should get away with it! Should I go to the school they were from??

What should I do??

You should have all spat on the coward driver when you got off the bus.

How embarrassing that these were Silverdale pupils. These problems happened when I went there and it doesn't look like it has ever been stopped. I know at one point when I was at school the teachers had to escort kids on the bus to try and get them to behave but obviously this is an ongoing thing as I left silverdale 6th form 4 years ago! Usually these are the Broomhall kids, but I know staff at the school do treat incidents like this very seriously so I do hope you get the results you're after Princess.

It is embarrassing for the schools reputation, however, the sole responsibility lies at the feet of the parents of these kids. Silverdale is an excellent school but I assume that, like all schools, they are powerless when controlling such unruly kids these days. When I was at school we were afraid of the head teacher and the punishments administered- not so anymore.

It is not the fault of the school, 95 per cent of the kids are lovely.

Theres been trouble on this route for a while now, my daughter who attends High Storrs school has stopped getting these numbers because of all the trouble she now either walks into town or walks to Abbeydale Road to get a bus.

She has also had abuse from them and was quite upset one day when a group were throwing shoes at the other passengers and luckily this time the driver did stop the bus and call the police.

I couldn't take photos. I didn't want to look UP! It was all in my hair, I didn't fancy it being in my mouth and things.

I'm trying to leave work later to miss them. But then I get them in the morning on the way to work.

Hopefully the head of Silverdale will mention something when they are back at school. That's what i was informed of anyway...
